Clubhouse Conversations — 2021 Emmy Nominee Multicam Roundtable Discussion

In this 67-minute episode, interviewer John Simmons, ASC talks with Emmy nominees Patti Lee, ASC; George Mooradian, ASC and Donald A. Morgan, ASC about their individual creative approaches to their respective series.

This year, Morgan was honored with three nominations in the category Outstanding Cinematography for A Multi-Camera Series. They are for The Conners episode “A Stomach Ache, A Heart Break And A Grave Mistake;” the Last Man Standing episode “Time Flies;” and The Upshaws episode “Big Plans.” This brings Morgan’s total Emmy nominations in this category to 19 — winning seven times for Home Improvement and three times for The Ranch.

Lee earned her nomination for the Call Me Kat episode “Plus One,” following previous nominations in this category for the series Superior Donuts and Bob Hearts Abishola.

Mooradian earned his nomination for the Country Comfort episode “Crazy,” marking his seventh in this category. He was previously recognized for his work on the shows Rel, The Exes, The Soul Man and According to Jim. He also earned two nominations in the category Outstanding Cinematography for a Half-Hour Series for According to Jim.

Winners will be announced during the 2021 Creative Arts Awards, held on September 11 and 12, and will then air on September 18 on FXX.
