Samyang Optics Announces Xeen Anamorphic, Meister Lenses
The anamorphic 50mm will be available in PL mount only, and the Meister 35mm, 50mm and 85mm will be available in PL, Sony E and Canon EF mount.
Samyang Optics has announced its first Xeen anamorphic lens, a 50mm (T2.3), as well as three other premium lenses designed for full-frame digital cinematography, the Xeen Meister 35mm, 50mm and 85mm (all T1.3).
The Xeen Anamorphic 50mm, which features a 2x squeeze, will be available for PL mount only, and all three Xeen Meister lenses will be available in PL, Sony E and Canon EF mount. The Meister line will support 8K capture, and i/Technology protocol will be offered in the PL-mount lenses.
Samyang Optics unveiled the new lenses Nov. 26 at the Micro Salon AIC in Rome. They will also be showcased at the Micro Salon AEC in Madrid Dec. 10-11.
