Benro Releases S Pro Series
The video fluid heads update the popular S Series and are available in three sizes.
Benro has released the S Pro Series of video fluid heads, the successor to the S series of flat-base fluid heads. The new series comprises the S8 Pro, the S6 Pro and the S4 Pro.
“Benro’s S Pro series retains everything users love about the original series: flat-base versatility, reliable fluid movements and a long lifespan,” says Brian Hynes, Benro brand manager. “With S Pro, we added more steps of counterbalance, CNC machined-aluminum camera plates and an updated design. We can’t wait for filmmakers to try them on set.”
Built for a range of video cameras and accessories, the S Pro series allows users to mount the head separately on sliders, jibs or monopods. Each head has continuous tilt drag, pan drag, tilt lock and pan lock and features a tilt range of +90°/-75°.
Included with each head are two accessory mounts for attaching monitor arms or audio recorders directly to the head. The heads feature metal, ratchet-style knobs and an improved CNC machined-aluminum sliding camera plate.
The S8 Pro ($299.95) is a 75mm head that supports up to 17.6 pounds and features eight steps of counterbalance.
The S6 Pro ($249.95) is a 65mm head that supports up to 13.2 pounds and features six steps of counterbalance.
The S4 Pro ($149.95) is a 60mm head that supports up to 8.8 pounds and features two steps of counterbalance.
